That’s what I was going to guess. The head definitely looks squirrel-esque.

Yes. They are squirrels. Couple of lessons for me in this. One, I didn’t quite believe that they were so cute as babies. Always I had pegged them as ugly varmints from their first nibble. How wrong I was. Secondly, I was unaware one of my friends would dare violate a few dozen health code regulations by raising these critters in their apartment.
Not that all of my crew are big law and order fiends, mind you, but still. Rodents like these are capable of much more than just destroying the wiring and drywall of an apartment.
