And oh yes, this bike will be mine. Sooner or later.
First need to work out her sleeping quarters with the landlord. I mean, who would make a 865cc Triumph Bonneville Black languish in the elements? That’s just straight up hating.

A few people who read this site are fans of Joe Hill, and someone forwarded this recent shot from Publisher’s Marketplace, so I may as well pass it along without sending unsolicited emails. Cause that would be spam. And that’s evil.
I’d say the resemblance is striking.

Like Father, Like…
Joe Hill, aka Stephen King jr., stopped by the Book Passage in Corte Madera, Calif., to sign copies of his new book, Heart-Shaped Box.
Left for work this morning and discovered a For Sale sign on the front lawn. The following thoughts flashed through my mind:
1) Denial: There is no sign. I’m still drunk from the night before.
2) Anger: Damn landlord! He mentioned nothing of bailing the last time we spoke.
3) Bargaining: Maybe the new owner won’t raise the rent or boot me.
4) Sorrow: After living here for seven years, I’ll miss the apartment.
5) Acceptance: Oh well, maybe it’s time to move into another place anyway. It was a good run, but now it’s over.
Shortly after step five, I left a message for the landlord, inquiring about the sign. He called back two hours later.
The place is not for sale. Some kids removed the sign from another house and planted it in the yard as a joke.
Oh, the humanity.
Rubber hit the road on the screenplay contest; I ended with 7 pages, which is a good haul. In the back of my mind, the figure of 13 writing sessions stands out, or a finish before I fly to Toronto and visit this writer. And his beloved.
The main thing I’ll reveal is that a key character in the screenplay is pure, nasty evil, and the story twists an unfortunate scenario played out in the headlines several occasions recently–too many, in my opinion–upside down.
Twist ending?
Hell, yeah.
