The IP address of my server has changed. Why dwell in technical matters two days in a row? Because for a brief time today or Thursday the site may appear inaccessible. Up without incident since September 20th I hate to see anything tarnish the run, but it’s out of my hands.

Should the site not work – have faith. Nothing is broken. All operations will resume. I promise. This is only a test. Had this been a real emergency…BEEP. Cue the color bars. 😉

I’m considering a writer/agent workshop this June. My main hesitation – can I finish Velocity by the session date? If I’m to spend the entire day in a conference room with bunches of agents and hundreds of writers, I intend to pitch a finished product. At present, the biggest obstacle is the 2 page per session barrier. Cohesive until that point, every third sentence beyond that mark, sketchy. Lord knows, I’ve tried forcing more to the surface. A review of the “additional content” reveals all the usual defects: lack of focus, excessive attention to useless details, and repetition. Three deadly sins.

Thursday I’ll try split sessions, one in the morning, one in the evening. Maybe I can fake it out of me.

I haven’t disclosed many details about my new love because one, the Wife is very jealous, and two, this is a geek sort of love. But now that Websters’ added the word wedgie to the dictionary, geeks have risen and my lust is appropriate.

Here is a brief feature list:

3) Returnable. Sort of.
4) Not available in all areas.
5) Photographic memory and recall.
6) Stylish lines and curves
7) Lightweight.

It is not this cat, but it had everything to do with this picture.

So who is it? For starters, it’s a what, not a who.

Yes! A Treo. At last my own web browser, text message, email, cellphone, digital camera, personal digital assistant. Like my stepfather says, the difference between a man and a boy is the price of the toy.

Movies Reloaded

The new poll is up and as promised last Thursday, movie reviews ar in for Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Hitch, and Be Cool. Fed at last, fed at last, thank god Almighty the movie review monster is fed at last. In unrelated news Buddhapuss Books bought a Treo. Samhilliard.com works just great on a mobile device, a feature never considered when constructing the site.

Also, no one asked for this but next month Tech guy will add a RSS feed for the site for mobile/news aggregators.
