Every other day there&#8217;s some agency spending money it doesn&#8217;t have. Today&#8217;s piece on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/story\/0,2933,250020,00.html\">foxnews.com<\/a> is typical:<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"intelliTXT\"><strong>&#8220;CAMDEN, N.J. \u00c2\u00a0\u00e2\u20ac\u201d\u00c2\u00a0 Talk about lying down on the job!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A recent audit of cash-strapped Camden, N.J. school district&#8217;s finances found it was paying an employee $130,000 annually \u00e2\u20ac\u201d and he&#8217;s been dead for more than three decades.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><\/span>Well, mom always said, finish your education, because you never know when it might pay off. I guess in many states citizens might rail at this sort of abuse of public monies. In New Jersey, we ask ourselves, how can we get that gig?<\/p>\n<p>Incidentally, Camden is also where three children disappeared a few years ago, only to be found by police three days later dead in a locked car trunk in their own backyard.<\/p>\n<p>Just can&#8217;t make this stuff up.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Like a lot of NJ residents, revelations of government waste and corruption are second hand news to me.
